This film was based on a novel written by Andy Weir. The film was directed by Ridley Scott and became the Scott’s highest grossing movie so far. Moreover, it was the 10th highest grossing film of the year 2015.

In the movie an astronaut who was Matt Damon’s was left behind on the planet Mars. It revolves around his struggle to survive alone on Mars, energies to rescue him and bring him back home safe.

Matt Damon’s costars in the film include Jessica Chastain, Kristen Wiig, Michael Pena, Kate Mara, Jeff Daniels, Sean Bean, Donald Grover, and Sebastian Stan. The Martian was named as the top ten movie of the year 2015 by American Film Institute. It was also nominated for seven Oscars.

Apollo 13 is an all-time favorite movie for the people interested in space. It is based on true events as Apollo 13 was the 7th

crewed mission of Apollo Space Program and the third intended to land on Moon surface in 1970. But the landing was aborted because of the explosion of the oxygen tank in the service module.

This space mission was commanded by Jim Lovell which was played by tom Hanks in the movie. Some dialogues of the film are still fresh for the audiences like Failure is not an option and Houston, we’ve had a problem.
