Have you ever imagined your vacations in a luxury hotel having the most beautiful view? Does it seem fascinating? Now, imagine if you spend your vacation in the space. Would you like it? Obviously, you will love it! Now take this image a little further that you can see 16 sunrises in a day and you are floating in the space. All this looks like a scene from a scientific movie to you. But this is going to happen in real life, too soon.
Aurora Station, a luxury hotel, will be opened in space soon by Orion Span (US based space technology). An astronomical amount of $9.5 million dollars is being used to build this hotel in space. This hotel will host a maximum of 6 people at a time which also includes two crew members. This space tour will be of twelve days.
In April 2012, the company announced that this luxury hotel will open in 2022. But they are working very fast on this project. Orion Space has now announced a new date for the opening of this luxury space hotel which is 2021.
Orion Space is founded by Frank Bunger, he is also the CEO of the company. Bunger said that our aim is to make accessible to almost everyone. He also said that after the opening of the Aurora Station its service will begin in no time. People will be able to take a tour of the space in the lowest price than ever before.
The price of the trip will be $10 million dollars. Travelers will be flying at a height of 200 miles above the Earth where they will be able to see the view of the blue planet. This luxury hotel will be floating in zero gravity at Low Earth Orbit. It will take only 90 minutes to orbit the hotel in a day which will make it possible to see 16 sunrises in 24 hours.
High-speed wireless internet will be available for the guests to do live video chat. Travelers will be able to float in southern and northern aurora from the window of the station.
Aurora Station will of the size of a large jet i.e. it will be 35 feet long and 12 feet wide. Best space food and private sleeping pods are attracting the people.
