The word conspiracy when said tends to act as a mark of interest and curiosity for many readers. Like the television series “star trek” holds the secrets to the functionality of the holodeck a fictional device that allows one to interact with virtual reality- does it or does it not- is a conspiracy. Similarly, what it may have taught is that the intergalactic space is the final frontier. The ultimate unit of mass exploration, that is yet to be explored.
Even when every detail of earth is known with little doubt of the unknown, we still roam around in the hollow space of the unknown, mysteries of space that are still to be explored. We currently stand at the very first stage of voyage- the spirit of exploration in the worlds unknown. A space craft which was designed for the study of the solar system and other stars, known as Voyager 1, entered into interstellar space in September 2013. Who knows what mysteries may unfold as it travels between the stars?
Curiosity was what initiated the man’s ability to question. And with time, these questions stacked up that many of us want answered. Does life exist on planet mars? Does any other form of intelligent life exist, living far away in the galaxy? Do wormholes hold the answer to faster than light travel? The answers to these questions and many more that we have not even asked – are present in the space waiting to be explored. But some individuals tend have their own believes that the answers we seek are already known by groups of powerful individuals. Is it true? Well who knows for sure?
Here we now enter the realm of unknown- The conspiracy theories. These theories range from small educated guesses to layers of wild speculations and concerns- which includes the fascinating cast of secret government, agencies, characters and hyper-intelligent species- aliens.

10. Sputnik I – The Dead Cosmonaut
During the year 1960s, the Soviet Union and United States competed to become the world leader-space exploration where the winner had the upper hand that is technological superiority. Having the earlier edge- The Soviet Union launched the first man made satellite sputnik in 1957. In 1961, another blow to the American space program was when cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin of the Soviet Union became the first human in space. But, according to the brothers from Italy- Judica-Cordiglia, Gagarin wasn’t the first.
The brothers had set up a listening station in Italy to intercept communication transmissions between ground operations and spacecraft for both American and Soviet missions. But weeks before Gagarin’s successful flight to space, the brothers made a claim to have intercepted a signal and recorded radio transmissions of a cosmonaut who was slowly dying while being adrift in space. The Soviet Union denied the claim by the brothers. Supporters of this theory think that the Soviet government had hid truth about the cosmonaut’s death to preserve their country’s reputation as a superior in space exploration. The mystery about the dead cosmonaut remains.
