1. Missiles

Missiles have been used for long in the space warfare and the history dates to almost 1000 years ago. It is believed that these missiles have been first used in India and then in the other countries. Although the rockets were being used in the ancient history but the significant improvement in this technology was witnessed during the Second world war.

Rockets were used by many countries, but the German V-2 rocket gathered much attention because more than 1000 missiles were fired on the enemy: The Britain. After the defeat of German, the rockets were gathered by the United States and Soviet Union and significant improvement was made in the technology and space race between the superpowers commenced. Missiles are still being used in the in the present era as Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles.

2. THEL

The Tactical High Energy Laser is commonly known as THEL and was introduced between 1996 to 2005. The program was established by the collaboration of both United States and Israel. It had a great potential and during the developmental phases it was able to destroy air borne rockets, artillery and mortar rounds.

This technology is currently not in use because of its reconstruction for another experiment which will take place in New Mexico.
